Kelly Konis has built her reputation in the advertising business by leading her clients forward through her innovative and creative style for over 20 years. She has served as a strategist for clients like Microsoft, BMW, Unilever, Old Navy, UPS, TiVo, MontBlanc, and many start-ups.
Kelly got her start in the agency business at Ammirati & Puris in New York. She has led many global account teams and has worked all over the world, including international posts in Toronto and Bangkok before moving to San Francisco. She served as Media Director at Foote Cone & Belding and McCann Erickson, Managing Director of Carat, and Marketing Director for Business 2.0.
Over the last several years, Kelly has built a brand strategy consulting practice. Kelly has worked with clients like the San Francisco Department of the Environment, Primo Beer, USA Network, and McKesson on new programs designed to build the brand and deeply connect with customers.
Kelly believes marketing communications can be a catalyst for positive change by supporting and driving innovative new policies and products, as well as building a bridge between brands and increasingly aware consumers. She has developed corporate sponsorship programs with organizations like Amnesty International, Surfrider, the Duke Foundation and many others as a way for her clients to give back to their constituencies and provide critical support to non-profits. A board member of the International Advertising Association in San Francisco, Kelly has spoken at many industry events including the AMA, IAA, AAAAs, and NATPE.
Kelly is an avid open water swimmer and a member of Save the Bay. Originally from Texas, she attended the University of Texas at Austin and still hasn’t lost her Southern accent.
